19TIMES is a growing directory of apps, platforms, and digital spaces built by and for Black America. Marketplaces, social spaces, money tools, media, and more, all in one spot so you're not searching for them one by one.

Our purpose

19TIMES exists for one reason: to be a resource that points people toward technology platforms and websites already doing the work of keeping dollars circulating where they're needed most, among the communities systemic oppression has tried hardest to keep poor.

Scripture calls them "the least of these," the people society overlooks but treats as the real measure of how we're doing. Black America has carried that weight longer than most, and still built businesses, platforms, and entire digital economies in spite of it. We didn't build those platforms. Our job is to make sure you can find them, so the dollar that should have kept circulating since 1921 finally has somewhere real to go again.

The scale of what was taken

Land alone tells part of the story.

$326B

Estimated value of Black-owned farmland lost between 1920 and 1997, mostly through discriminatory policy, forced sales, and outright theft.

$10–12T

The full Black-white wealth gap today, the cumulative result of slavery, Jim Crow, and everything since. Not what Jim Crow alone cost, the whole picture.

None of this gets undone by a directory of apps. But every dollar that stays inside a Black-owned business instead of leaving it is a small, real step in the other direction.

KNOW ONE WE'RE MISSING?

This list is built by hand.

Not by an algorithm. If you know a Black-owned app, platform, or digital space that belongs here, tell us about it. We'll take a look ourselves before it goes up.
